Sowder Construction, established in April 2019, is a family-owned and operated contracting company located in Liberty Township, Ohio. Our founder, Zack Sowder, brings over a decade of experience in the construction industry.

Zack’s Passion for Building

Zack’s passion for building was ignited during his high school years at D. Russel Lee Career and Technical Center, where he participated in the Carpentry program. His talent was recognized when he was chosen by his instructor to represent his class at SkillsUSA Ohio 2009, securing first place in the state-level competition. He subsequently represented Ohio at the SkillsUSA National Competition in Kansas City, Missouri, where he achieved eighth place among contestants from 43 states.

Following high school, Zack began his career with a commercial exterior trim company specializing in new construction projects. In 2013, he became a Construction Superintendent at Forge Lumber, where he supervised framing and exterior trim for various residential and commercial wood-framed projects throughout the Cincinnati and Dayton areas.

In 2019, he founded Sowder Construction with the aspiration of delivering high-quality building services to local homeowners and businesses.
